Going up the escalator in Macy's he is reminded of a story as a kid.
In his Junior year of high school Miss Matson asked kids to fill out a form if they wanted to make some money over the Christmas holidays. Shep did and wound up with a job at Marshall Fields depatment store wrapping Christmas gifts for Mrs Wringle. He did such a good job he worked there for three years wrapping gifts.
