Show Description | |||||||||||||
Shep refers to the transcripts and audio from the Gemini IV launch earlier today, on which Ed White does a space walk. He recounts some of the more humorous comments made and things White does like cleaning the windshield. He tells the story about the first time he flew. The whole family had gone to a small airport to watch the planes and there were planes there where for $3.00 you could get rides over the local countryside. Shep and the Old Man get tickets and go on the little 4 seater. The Old Man gets sick and Shep is hooked on flying. He spends the rest of the show with a general discussion about kids wanting to fly or be invisible, and about the future of space flight and the stunts that will come out of them. | |||||||||||||
