Comments: seeing "Forth Of July" on the original air date returned the
hope that television still had the ability of truly becoming a viable medium for all.
all characters are TRUE to life and if an individual cannot relate to at least one character enlisted, they should take up rocket science !
of course what else can be said about A Christmas Story.
Jean Shepherd will never need any words to discribe what or why he wrote, or of any portrait on the silver screen, he just had the guts to do it. Look at a map of the U.S.A. and you will see Jean Shepherd. Observe a fireworks display and he will be there also.He did not invent these ideas but took the time to observe them and see the art of it all.
