3162nd Mess Kit Repair Battalion - Handle Platoon

Quite often when Shep would tell Army stories he would say he was in the 3162nd Signal Airborne Mess Kit Repair Battalion and he and Gasser were in the Handle platoon. This was usually during a live performance in front of an audience for effect such as on the August 26, 1967 Limelight show.
