Show Description
[ Courtesy: Lowell Thelin - ] Philodendron stolen - ransom note appears two days later along with demand for $10 Reality check - Mailer received just before Christmas describes fuel oil produced from dog waste. Reading of poetry about food from a book entitled ...And Be Merry - A Feast of Light Verse by a friend, William Cole - included are poems about shad, mixed drinks, a 17th century hangover cure, eggs, soup, and oysters. Authors include Ogden Nash, Mae Swenson, and Thomas Hood. Discussion of emotion as the basis of each of the seven deadly sins, including gluttony. More reading of food poetry. Archeologists' recent discovery in France of eight 5000 year old well preserved wooden houses found 15 feet underground - Shep reminds us that anyone of us might have a pad that could last 5000 years, and that we ought to clean it up because "the next Ice Age might hit before morning." Our own house could be the basis of future judgment about our entire civilization.
