Shep talks about misprints and reads what he thinks should be the misprint of the year. Saying that you don't have to read novels and books to find out about life, that it I all in the newspapers. He gives examples from newspapers from different parts of the country, such as the wonam who was accidentally locked in the snake house overnight.
He points out that television and movie heros run in trends and describes the current wave of folksy and ethnic detectives. He talks about folk heros and pop culture.
