Show Description
Although no copy of this show has surface yet, we have a short description based on an article in the Bath Daily Times. (NOTE: They are referring to a Boston WNAC rerun, so actual WOR airdate was about a week before RADIO EN ROUTE - We tuned in Jean Shepherd's program out of radio Boston, Saturday, to sooth the boredom of driving, and were spellbound by the man;s reading of "Rules for Reviling" against a background of Chinese music, minor modes, gongs and all. He held forth at some length with exposition on what he calls "The Numerical Fallacy.'' This numerical fallacy is the belief of non-thinking people that if a large number of people get hung on a thing, that thing is more important than a thing on which fewer people get hung. Think about it.
