Storyteller, philosopher, and award-winning author, Shepherd has a series of 13 programs currently being aired weekly on public television. He was later a monologist on WOR radio in New York. He is a four-time winner of the Playboy Writing Award for Best Humorist. Books he has written include: "A Fistful of Fig Newtons," "Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories," and "In God We Trust - All Others Pay Cash." A shorter work, "A Christmas Story," was adapted into a film in 1983 and became a box office success. The concert is being presented as part of the Clinton Historical Museum Village's summer weekly "Concerts in the Park" series. The village is at 56 Main St. in Clinton, exit 15 off Route 78.
