From the "American Studies Newsletter" of Indiana University Vol X No. 1 - 24 August 1977 THE FOLKLORE INSTITUTE, directed by PROFESSOR RICHARD M. DORSON, is sponsoring an "Urban Folklore Conference," Friday and Saturday, September 2-3, 1977. Professor Dorson will deliver the keynote address and Jean Shepherd will give a presentation, "Growing Up in the Dear Old Region." Included on the program will be ADRIENNE SEWARD (Folklore and American Studies) who will present a position paper on "Images of the City."
